السؤال
Transcribed Image Text:
2. Calculate the specific heat of water given that 209 J are required to increase the
temperature of 50.0 g of water by 1.00 K.
3. 25.0 ml of hot water at temperature 37.0 °C was added to 25.0 ml of cold water in a
"coffee- cup" calorimeter at temperature 22.0 °C. The final temperature of the calorimeter
was 28.0°C.
a. Calculate the heat in Joules gained by the calorimeter.
b. Calculate the heat capacity (J/°C) of the calorimeter.
4. When 60.0 ml of 1.0 M HCl was added to 60.0 ml of 1.0 M NaOH in the "coffee cup"
calorimeter, the temperature changed from 22.0°C to 29.0°C. Determine the heat of this
reaction. The heat capacity of the calorimeter is 32.9 J/°C. The specific heat of water
solution is 4.18 J/g°C.
