Ask: a) what is the minimum initial tension F; that would put the drive at the point of slip (The actually friction coefficient due to the
elastic creep is equal to the friction coefficient of the material)?
Hint: Eq. 17-9 can be used if the actually friction coefficient is given; factor of safety is 1.1.
