(i) Show that the general solution of the differential equation is

(ii) Hence, or otherwise, solve the initial value problem

(b) A differential equation is given as yll + 2y + y = xex.
(i) Determine the solution of the complimentary equation yll + 2y + y = 0.
(ii) Given that the particular solution of a differential equation has the form
Yp = (Ax³ + Bx2)ex, or otherwise, determine the general solution of the
differential equation.
