3. Consider an infinitely long cylinder with cross-section of radius R₁ and made from a perfect
conductor. The cylinder carries a steady current I. The conductive cylinder is embed-ded
within a cylinder with same axis and made from a magnetic material (assumed to be isotropic,
linear, and homogeneous) with permeability μ (cf. Fig. 4.3). The magnetic cylinder has radius
R2.
i) Calculate and plot the fields B, H, and Mat each point in space. Plot the intensities of
each field as a function of the radial distance between a generic point in space and the
cylinders' axis; [12.5 points]
ii) Calculate the volume and surface magnetization currents for the given system. [12.5
points]
