You may also assume that no air is absorbed by the water stream and that there is negligible water loss due to evaporation. The column is cylindrical and has an internal diameter of 1.5 m. (a) What is the mole fraction of ammonia leaving the gas absorption column? (b) What is the outlet gas mass velocity (this is the mass flow rate divided by the cross- sectional area of the column)?
