a. Determine the maximum acceptable radial interference and the corresponding interface
pressure.
b. Under the conditions of part (a) plot the stress distribution for each member.
If under the conditions of part (a) the assembly is further subjected to an internal pressure of
5000 lb/in², determine the resulting stress distribution in both members using the method of
superposition.
