The following data was obtained from a short-circuit test on a 20 KVA 480/120 V
60 Hz transformer

300 W
12 Rated secondary Amps
Instruments were placed on the low-voltage side with high-voltage side short circuited
a) Obtain the equivalent circuit parameters referred to the high-voltage side
b) Assuming the that transformer was designed for iron losses twice the copper ones and
power factor equal to one determine the efficiency at full load
c) Estimate the maximum efficiency possible for this unit
d) Calculate R, assuming R₂ = 0.168 Q
e) Draw the equivalent circuit referred to the high side indicating both primary/secondary
voltage/current
