2. A barge is pulled by two tugboats as shown in the figure below. To move the barge along in the
water properly, the tugboats must exert a result force of 10,000 lbs along the direction of
motion of the barge. (1) Determine the tension in each rope if the position of Tug B is such that
B-45 degrees. (2) Suppose that Tug B can move anywhere such that 05 B S90 degrees,
determine the angle ẞ at which the angle in the Tug B's rope is maximum, and again, at which
the tension has minimum value, still maintaining the resultant of 10,000 lbs along the x-
direction.
