An aluminium plate is used as a bracket to support 200 kN load at A as shown in Figure 1.1. The plate has a uniform thickness of 1 cm and its Young's modulus is 90 GPa. Based on the physical application, the boundary condition could be modelled to be fixed at the top of the plate.
