2. A manufacturing company buys fuses in boxes, and each box of 500 fuses is inspected according to an acceptance sampling plan (ACP). A box is accepted or rejected as a result of the plan. ACP states that a random sample of size 25 is selected without replacement from the box and inspected. If at most one nonconforming fuse is found in the sample the box is accepted, otherwise it is rejected. From previous results, it is assumed that the last box contains 8 nonconforming fuses.
