hydrogen (H) according to the following reaction: C6H6 + 3H2 C6H12
For the process shown below, determine: the ratio of the recycle stream to the fresh feed
stream (R/F), nc6H12. Bz. H2. P. and the Purge stream (E) if the overall conversion of benzene
is 90%, and the single-pass conversion is 25%. Assume that 25% excess hydrogen is used
in the fresh feed, and that the composition of the recycle stream is 20 mol.% benzene and 80
mol.% hydrogen. Also, assume the product stream contains 20 mol.% hydrogen and the
purge stream contains only hydrogen. (25 degree)
