In a gas absorption tower, acetone is absorbed from its mixture with air using a nonvolatile
absorption oil. 100 mol/h of gas mixture enter the bottom of the column contains 30 mol%
acetone while 261.9 mol/h oil enter the top of the column. The exiting gas stream is to
contain 1.3 mol% acetone.
a) Determine molar flow rate of the exiting gas and exiting liquid streams.
b) Determine number of stages required for the above process.
