Design and draw an inverting op-amp based analogue computer that would
implement the following differential equation (zero initial conditions). You may only
use: op-amps, capacitors, resistors, a split ± 12-V power supply and one signal
generator.

a) First re-write the equation in descending order of derivatives and then make
the highest order derivative the subject of the equation.

b) Plan the structure of your circuit by drawing a rough generic block diagram
of Integrators and/or Summing Amplifiers and/or Differentiators as required.

c) Now consider the polarity of all the signals (-signs) and redraw a more
accurate block diagram showing polarities and specific gains required. Also
indicate all the practical details required for the DC and AC inputs. (5 marks)
d) Finally, draw the inverting op-amp based circuit showing op-amps with
external components, including signal generator settings.
