5+j25 2. The rotor impedance at standstill is 8+ j5 2. The magnetization
reactance is 150 2. If the starting capacitor is 100 μF, determine the start-
ing torque developed by the motor.
What is the torque developed by the motor in Exercise 10.5 when it oper-
ates at a full-load speed of 1575 rpm? Determine its efficiency if the rota-
tional loss is 10 W. Note that the motor runs on the main winding only at
its rated speed.
